Forever and a Day

Well it seems like forever and a day since I last posted on this. I dont even know who I post for. Does anyone read this, or is this just one of those things I will look back on in 5 years and laugh or say "hey I remember that".

Well what has happened since my last post? loads actually.
My sister has now turned 18, which means I see her at the pub every now and again, which is sometimes strange.
I have finished TAFE
Went and saw Death Proof on the big cinema screen.
And lots of other little things that may or may not be worth mentioning.

As I type this my youngest sister is nearly ending her year 10 formal, which is kinda strange as she is not going back to school next year. Yes it appears as though next year is going to be a different year.

Well going on nearly 2 weeks ago now was our TAFE Digital Media exhibition "Visually Sound", and it went really well. For the DVD I played Sergio Supafly, which was a lot of fun. On the actual exhibition day with the DVD on constant loop on the smart board we all thought we would get sick of hearing the ads, especially the Chair Emporium. But we loved it still, after 50 times (probably 50, wasnt actually counting), we would still applaude it.
The "after party" rocked too. We went Go-Karting for like 3 hours, and then hit the pubs. We started at the Duke and wound up at the Vic. There was one point at the end of the night when we were going to go back to Lukes house. Lol, and Nathan got kicked out.

Been thinking a lot about whats going to happen next year. I want to play Tennis again, so I might do that. Also want to go to Queensland. I love queensland.

Anyway thats whats news I guess. I couldnt be bothered going into details about anything.

1 month gone

Well it has actually been over a month since I have written anything on this, I have been rather slack in that reguard. Well tones has happened in the last month, a trip to Canberra, Tafe Holidays, a 21st, and a night on the town which resulted in a rather drunk me.

First, that trip to Canberra. I went with my family to Canberra for the weekend on the 26th of September I think it was to go to our cousins 21st. It was like a family reunion thing which was pretty cool. Whilst in Canberra we got some shopping done and I spent a fair bit of money. (It would have been more if I had of got that apple Mac. Only $2600 over there for a 24 inch screen!) I found the Grindhouse book in Boarders which was cool, and speaking of which my cousin gave me the grindhouse version of Planet Terror! such a crazy movie, I cant wait to see it at the cinemas.

Tafe holidays began like all holidays should, with no assignments! First time in ages where I have had a holiday and not had to worry about all the work I need to do, it was awesume. That first weekend I went out with Adam and Heath, and Adam and I won a cool Bundy Rum flag play Scissors, Paper, Rock against the Bundy chicks.

On October 6th I went to Kelly Ann's 21st. It was a BBQ at her house, and she had a DJ and everything, and Rory took pictures most the evening, it was a pretty good night.
I got to catch up with Matt too. I hadnt seen him in ages. I went to his place for a bit, then he came back to mine and we watched "Night at the Museum" until like 3 in the morning. Next day we went down the street as Matt wanted to get a new game for his xBox 360, but they didnt have it in stock.
This was around my last week of Holidays. The first week I didnt really do much, just worked and watched TV.
The Tuesday of my last weeek of holidays I went to the movies with Adam and Dave and saw Superbad. Fuck thats a funny movie. I havent laughed so much in ages. After the movie Adam got a text from kelly Ann telling us to come to the Farrer, so we did. It was Karaoke night, and so I got up and sang Johnny B Goode.

Wednsday, did nothing.

Thursday I cought up with my friend Claire, got the DVD Vanishing Point (1971 version), and went to work.

Friday, went down the street and got some new cloths, then worked that afternoon.

Saturday, I worked all day, 10 - 7 then went out. Dad drove me into town and we picked up Matt on the way. I hung out with Matt the whole night and we went to a few different pubs. Dad droped us off at the union, then we went to get a stamp at the Capital, but they didnt have them yet. So we then went to the Vic for a bit, then back down to the Capital, got our stamp and had a drink, then we walked down to Romano's, had a drink there, then we walked back up to the Capital. It was a good night. Matt and I left before closing time to get a Kebab because we were hungry. We sat out the front eating our Kebabs and talking about how drunk we were. Then some randoms decided to come over an talk to us.

Sunday I awoke at nearly lunch time. At 12:00 I made lunch and started to watch Fight Club (I hadn't seen it before). It was an awesume movie! I then got a text from Kelly Ann about a singstar afternoon at Rorys. So I went to that, and it is safe to say, I sucked at it. lol.

Monday Adam, Dave and I helped my sister with her Drama movie, which would have been finished, but the camera batteries ran out.

And so thats whats been happening this pasted month. Or should I say, thats what happened in the past month.

Ok, so whats rockin my world Lately?

- Mango Fruit Chillers
- The officail Death Proof release Date in Australia (November 8th)
- Almost the end of the year
- Warmer weather = more BBQs

Death Proof: a Grindhouse feature

Buckle up. Because a new kind of terror is coming, at 200 miles per hour!

Well I watched the extended edition of Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof", an extention of a Grindhouse feature. If by now you dont know the story, directors Tarantino and Rodriguez set out to make two films and show them back to back entitled "Grindhouse" as omage to the old Grindhouse exploitation films back in the 70s. It is unfortunate however that Australia has not seen the light of day of this particular movie, and nor will it, as the two films are being split, and extended. Just think you can order the DVD from America to see Grindhouse in its original Formate? well your are sadly mistaken as it is being split for its DVD release as well.

Anyway, back to "Death Proof". I have been waiting for the Grindhouse movie for just over a year now, and with no Australia release date confimed yet then it appeared I may not only never get to see Grindhouse, but the two Grindhouse features at the cinemas. So people I knowm sort other methods of finding the film, and so the other week a friend of mine presented me and some of my other mates, "Death Proof".

I watched it the other day in excitement that I would finally get to see a part of Grindhouse, even if it wasn't the Grindhouse I wanted, and I must say I quite enjoyed it. A lot of people would complain (and I know they have) that there is too much chick talking, and not enough Stuntman Mike and car crashing, but I enjoyed myself just the same, because in a Tarantino movie even if its just dialogue, you get entertainment, and some of the best and funny dialogue you can see in a film. I dont want to give too much away if you havent seen it, but here is what I enjoyed;

The Cars

The Dialogue

The 70s style, which was cool and strange at the same time seeing as how it was set in modern times.

Surprised by Stuntman Mikes charm considering who he is.

Dr Block (you will understand after the grindhouse movies if you already dont)

and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Lee

Time Keeps on Slipping

I thought I might do a post about what has been happening of late. I often do regular posts about tafe work, my thoughts and aimless ponderings or what I did on the weekend, if it was exciting but I havent really posted anything about whats news really.
Well it is the beginings of the month that is September and for me that means absolutly nothing, lol, except the promise I look foward to for half the year of an increase in temperature. I like the sun.

Tuesday I finished my Harry Nixon Electrical assignment, Yay! We have a new photography assignment, but that should be cool. Went and saw the Bourne Ultimatum as you will know or find out one post down. I still need to see Die Hard 4.
Bought some games on Tuesday, "007 From Russia With Love", its ok, but I might return it, not sure yet. And Tom Clancy's "Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory". Its the first time I have ever played a Splinter Cell game and I am quite enjoying it so far.

Holidays are coming up! Hoping we dont get any assignments to do during them cause that would suck.
Thinking about having another 4 day weekend and renting movies.
Going to Canberra for 2 days for cousin's 21st, should be good, might buy stuff when I go shopping.

I want an iMac.

Thinking about the future (next year).

Saving money, well some of it.

Want to travel to the states and see everyone I met

Want to move to Queensland

Love Thank God Your Here. [in Australia, the ORIGINAL and BEST (I saw some of the american one, wasnt impressed)]

Wish I could do something when hot chicks walk into work.

So that is basicly all the news and events in my life I can think up at this moment.

Thoughts and Aimless Ponderings Vol 5: What if...

"What if? What if I was taking a shower and sliped on a bar of soap?! Oh my God i'll be Killed!"

Ok, perhaps a slightly different what if to that, but it is still a what if question. What if huh? Do you find you ask that question a lot? or just think to yourself what if? I think everyone does, and if you havent before I bet you are thinking of it now.

Its a question that can be asked about virtually anything and one that every once in a while people do ask themselves. Like, what if I had done things different, I would believe would be the most popular one.
You see I was watching this movie the other night, "the Family Man" with Nicholas Cage, and a lot of that movie asked the what if question. We saw what his life was like after going to London to study or work or something, leaving his girlfriend behind with the promise he would return. But 13 years on and he hadnt. The movie surrounds the idea of what if he didn't get on the plane and leave her. After seeing his life when he did get on the plane we get a glimps of what his life would have been like if he hadn't. And things were very different. His job, where he lived, and even his personality.
Well this got me thinking a lot of what if questions for myself, some I didnt even have control over. What if my dad didnt get out of the RAAF and we moved again, I wouldnt be in Wagga, I would have gone to a different school, met different people, would that have an effect on the type of person I am? Would I be different to who I am today? I dont know, and I never will, but its just one of those many unanswerable what if questions.
Thats just one what if road, there are thousands more, and I since I have been thinking about this I have come to discover what may seem to be the tinyest most insignificant thing can have a large effect on other aspects in your life.
Think about it.
Another question I have often pondered is what if I was born in a different era? One where there were no computers, or movies. What type of person would I be then?!

All these questions and no way to answer them. But its sometimes fun to think about.
Think about this, what if I didnt do Digital Media, and not get told to get a blog, would I be typing this?

Ultimate Bourne

Remember Everything. Forgive Nothing

Yes the new Bourne Movie is out, and as you can probably tell by this post I have been to see it. Twice infact, within two days of each other, thats how awsume it is.
First of I should explian that I am a Bourne fan and this wasnt just a random outing to go see a movie, I had been anticipating its release for a while and if you are a fellow Bourne fan then you know why.
The plot to the Bourne movies are great, the suspence is high the action, fast and the music ties off these elements well giving an audience an awsume action packed trilogy, with Ultimatum the last instalment.
If you intend to see the Bourne Ultimatum I suggest you revisit the first two Bourne movies if you are not greatly familiar with them, because it will help. These arent just random new movies with the same characters, there are questions to be answered and a story to be told. Who is Jason Bourne?
The Bourne Ultimatum doesnt take long to take off, once the lights of the cinema go down you are hooked and the action doesnt stop after the Cat and Mouse scene at the Warterloo station in London, this is indeed the Ultimate Spy movie. I recommend it.

Saturday: the story of a Saturday night

Well I often do these as you can probably tell, well, at least when I do something interesting on the weekend. So I went out on Saturday night, being Saturday the 25th of August. It was my friend Claire's 20th birthday. I had been invited to another birthday bash that weekend, but Claire had asked me first so I went out and celebrated with her.

I got dropped off after work for dinner at la Porchetta and had a BBQ meatlovers pizza, I hadn't had pizza in ages. It was packed, people everywhere in there. There was a function going on, for what I dont know, and also what appeared to be some other birthday celebrations happening.

We then walked up to the Vic and was there by about 9. We got a couch and chairs and stayed there for the majority of the evening. We watched as the Vic began to get busier and busier. I was ordering Rum draft from the front bar and it tasted good. I was sitting back looking around when I noticed Emily at the back bar. I had met Em through a friend of mine, and hadnt seen her in a while and so went up to say hello.
"Emily" I said. I was talking to her for a bit and we then moved from the bar to some another couch and chairs just next to where I was sitting before. Em was out with her sister as it turned out. I also got to meet a friend of ems from her accounting class, Tristan. He was pretty cool, he bought me a drink and was trying his luck with a chick he met at Tafe. He later went down to Romano's to see if he could find her.
Meanwhile all my other frinds from school who came out for Claire's birthday were looking at me thinking I was trying to pick up Em. She's like 27 I told them, to which there response was, so. It was funny. Em and her sisiter eventually left to go to the Capital. I then went and sat back in the original group I came out with.
I went to go grab another Rum draft from the bar, but she came back with 2. I said I only wanted one and she said, do you want two? For free I asked and she said yea we would only have to tip it out anyway. So free rum. Score!
More of our old school friends arrived and we were trying to decide whether or not to go to the Capital. Eventually we decided we would, by this time the Vic had gotten quieter. This was about 1.20 pm and only 10 minutes till lockout. There was a line at the Capital and we then had to decide to go back to the Vic or try getting into the Capital, risking not being let in before lockout. We decided to risk it, all or nothing.
As I stood in line there was this drunk guy infront of me shouting out to people ahead in the line. I looked and shouted to him; "Moory!" He turned around, "Lockie!" Turns out it was Adam, the guy whos birthday I was also invited to.
The line enentually began to move and we were some of the last few let inside. Adam paid for me aswell which was also cool.
Inside I ran into more people I knew. Loretta and Sam from work. I hung out with them for a bit. I also saw Tara and Kelly Ann. Oh and Kimberly from work, and Recee from work. Everyone. well, not everyone, but a lot of people.

All in all a good night.

Harry Nixon Electrical: Part6, The end is coming.

Nothing has really changed since the last post. Brochure is still not finished. I am going to visit the client this weekend, probably Sunday if he is free that day, as I am free that day as well. This will give me the oportunity to go and take some pictures of his new Van for the brochure, and see if he liked the changes made on the Business card since we last discussed them.
Might also ask when and what he needs me to give him, so his friend can make the Fridge Magnets.

With these last few things that should not take long to do I can see the end of this assignment, and then maybe I can breath a sigh of relief.

Photography: Wagga Waggas Identity

Started a new module at Tafe the other day, and am doing some stuff with Photography. Its pretty cool. On the weekend we had to go and take pictures of Wagga, with the topic being Waggas identity.

Adam and I went out on Monday afternoon, from about 1.30 til 5.00 taking photos all around Wagga. We started at the Botanic Gardens, went to the Railway station next, and then Parked in the Market Place, walking down to the Hampton bridge, and back again.

We took some pretty good shots, and it was kinda cool just going around with a camera for an afternoon, taking pix of whatever looked interesting.

We then had to turn 6 of our 100 shots into black and white, and put them on a Flickr account.

Her is one image, but for more go to:

Harry Nixon Electrical: Part 5

This particular project is almost due, very soon, and it still scares me. Since the last post I have visited Harry and he selected some of his favourite designs I presented to him. This included a letter head, and the final Business card look, only having to do 2 minor changes. He liked the design of the fridge magnet, and wants do do something different by making them black and white. This way they can be produced at a cheaper cost, and it still looks good, with all the important information visible, without being too distracting. He knows someone who can develop the Fridge magnets for him.
Also he got a new Van, which he hopes to put the new Business logo I designed for him on the side.
Last design thing that remains in the Brochure, which is almost complete, bar some final details, including text.

Not looking foward to really getting into the paperwork involved in this project, as I havent done much of it to date. But its just one of those things you have to do.

Flash Animation: Part 2

03 / 08 /07.

That date may not seem like much to you. Well.... to those who I know read this, that date probably does mean something. Judgement Day.

For those of you reading this who are unaware the significance of this date, I dont mean we were given information on the Date of the end of the world. Incase you were sitting there thinking, Crap! were was I when we found this out. Im talking about the due date to our Flash Animation Assignment.
Wow, I should probably be more serious on a post about actuall Tafe work. Ok from here on in I will be. *serious face*

First off it took me forever to come up with an idea for my Animaiton, and when my idea finaly arrived time was indeed running short. I really do need to manage my time better. However managing my time would have been a job made easier had I thought up a decent idea from day 1. Oh Well. So here I am, having done 4 frames from my story bored, and still got a bit to go. The most painful part has been the vector Art, which is rather time consuming. Hopefully I will have completed the requirements for this assignment by friday, and that Nathan will be pleased.

Thoughts and Aimless Ponderings Vol 4: Past, Present and Future

Ok, so I'm 19 years old, and probably still too young to really truely think about how fast time is going, but sometimes it just hits me in little drips and drabs. I mean I dont dwell on it or anything. Im not one of those people that says, "holly crap I've wasted my life, and now there isnt enough time left to do all the things I want to do." Although, if I was around the age of 40, and all I had done with my life was have a High School Certificate, Done around 2 years of Tafe, Worked at Woolworths as a checkout operator, and still lived with my parents the yes, I would say; "crap I have wasted my life". No offence to the 40 year olds still living with their parents working in a job a 15 year old can do.

Anyway last night it kinda did hit me how time does indeed fly. You see I was working till close, all the way down on register 15 by myself, and it being sunday well, it wasnt very busy and so I was very bored. So as I stood there I listened to the music provided by "Woolworths radio", which you will only hear in Woolworths because if it was a real radio station... you wouldn't listen to it.
So as I stood there bored, tapping the tune "No one Knows" on my register I heard a familiar song. I mean they are all familiar to me, its what happens when you have a small playlist that you loop 24 hours a day.
No it was one of those songs you hear that you had heard at a certain time, and so it brings back memories. You see for me, a lot of music brings back memories of High School, as I heard a lot of music then. For Example; The offsprings, "Original Prnakster" I first heard when I was in year 7 I believe, but it brings back memories of Year 8 because it was always played during Music. Understand.
Well the song I heard last night was "Big yellow Taxi", by Counting Crows. This song was part of a Geography assignment back in year 10, which for me was in 2003. Now I know 4 years isn't really a long time, when you look at the big picture, but still it can be a scary thought. Because I remember it plane as day. The classroom, the teacher, and I remember it being around the time of summer, as they had the warnings of not wearing boardshorts to school. (as if anyone ever listened.) But I do find it funny how a particular song can in some small way make you remember a part of your life. Sure you can purposly look back and remonise about your past, but I mean something that just rememinds you of it, when you had no intention of thinking about it.
So far 19 years has past in my life, and I remember thinking once upon apon a time that that was old. I think every young kid does. It just seems forever away, but once you get there, it doesnt feel like it has taken long.

You know what else is funny? How when we get older our thoughts and ideas change. Why is that? We are exactly the same as we were before, are we not? Do we come up with these Ideas by ourselves, or do we find them someplace else, like our friends, or whats on TV.
I dont know. Remember what your dream job was as a kid? I do, but mine was never really specific. I was never one of those kids that said; I want to be a Fireman, or an Astronaut, or an Actor. I said I wanted to be an artist. But you see, my thoughts on being an artist was drawing, or doing something creative, and somehow make money off of that. Yes, even as a kid I had the idea of doing as little as possible to make money. lol.

Wow, I just realised this is a long post. Better have an intermission.

INTERMISSION

Hi, Welcome Back.
Well not too much has changed from the whole artist, being creative point of view. I still like to be creative, but now I have a bit more direction. Thats why I'm doing Digital Media at Tafe. I got into the digital side of being creative only 2 years ago actually. It was at the very begining of the year 2005.
There was a certain stage in my life where i really liked the whole idea of movies. I dont know where it came from, but since it hit me I have had a passion for cinema. I dont know if it was because my dad took me to see movies with him as a kid, and seeing them on the big screen really wowed me. Actually. Come to think of it. Maybe it was dad. He was the one who introduced me to Star Wars back when I was only around the age of 4. Maybe even earlier. I watched them on a tape recorded when they were on TV. He took me to the RAAF base cinema a few times as well. I remember seeing; Independence Day, Lost in Space, Apolo 13. I also Saw 2 Star Trek movies in the old Cinema where La Porchetta is now. And when Lucas re-did Star Wars we went and saw it at Forum 6 Cinemas. Maybe dad did have a large influence my love for movies. Anyway Im getting off track.

Before I went off track up there I was going to talk about how I decided to to Digital media. You see it was back in 2004, and I was doing year 11 exams. Importent ones. (aparently. Too bad i failed most. lol). Anyway this exam was sooo important that they decide to write a notice on the board about summer school. Lucky I read it. Thats right, I said stuff the exam, im reading whatever is on the board. lol.
So anyway I enquired about this summer school, in the summer of 2005, I went. It was good fun. They were my first days in Photoshop, and editing Film. It was free to go, you just had to be accepted. free food, plus $250.00 at the end. Not bad huh. I liked the idea of this and so am now doing the corse.

And what do I one day hope to achieve? Well, from being a kid who wanted to make money as an artist, I know now what I want to do to make money that involves artistic direction. Movies. I wish to be a Writer / Director. But not before I travel. You see like I began with, time flys. So I might as well travel whilst im still young. You only live once as they say.

Sorry this was a long post. If you have reached the end... Feel good about yourself. lol

Wray Clothing

Friday Afternoon, and we have Karen. Our tasks on a friday afternoon for the next few weeks will revolve around a project. The development of a clothing company. Our task; to name this company, and develop corporate ID, product designs, Webpage and Flash stuff, as well as marketing plans in order to sell out product. Basically Its developing our own company without ever actually creating it.
Fist on the agenda was to assign everyone in the class roles. My role in this project is Marketing. We then had to decide what type of clothing store we are to be, choosing a casual, to upper class style that caters for both men and women. Next was the name of the clothing, and our company name. After suggestions were thrown around we settled on the name "Wray".
And so we are now Wray clothing.

Flash Animation

Flash animation. No, not the nude kind, thats wrong, and wierd. The Program kind. You know, making an animation in the program known as flash.
Anyways, I have had this assignment for a while now, about a month I think, and the idea is to come up with a flash animation between 2 - 3 minutes long, with the brief of number. So basically, there has to be a number in the animation somewhere. It has taken me forever to come up with a damn idea. I had a few, and they were, well... crap. The latest one I have insnt great, its kinda clech'e, but its the best I have, and time is rinning out.
Basically it is about an exchange that goes wrong for one of the parties involved in it.
Hope it turns out ok.

Harry Nixon Electrical: Part 4

At this point in time the Business card is complete, I am fairly happy with the way it has turned out, I just need the approval of the client with reference to colour schemes and location of the type.
Have done 6 different letter head designs to show the client who will have to choose which design they like the best.
Also completed a Tax Invoice design, complete with all required detailsn specified by the client. This includes a phone number, Address and ABN number.

Have started designing the broucher. Have riped out a page and folded it the way the broucher will fold and done some sketching to get an idea of how it will look. Will have to go talk to the client about what content he wishes to have in the broucher, and may have to take some more pictures, possibly of his truck.
Something else I have begun on is a Vector version of Harry. He seemed to like the idea of him in a cartoon style form, so I thought I would make one up and see what he thought.
Also trying to decide if I will make the fridge magnet a similar design to the business card or go for something different. Might have to bring that up in the next meeting.

Am sticking to the same colour schemes throughout the designs. Black, Grey, White and Orange. With the type face being Century Gothic.

Saturday, Saturday!

You have to sing the title in tune to that song.

Ok, yes, Saturday.
Well I went to work on Saturday, but a small shift only 3.30 til 6.30, and that wasnt very exciting.

Went to Waynes new digs, Adam was all ready there, killing at Guitar Hero. I had a go, and I think its safe to say that... I sucked! lol. Nah, it wasnt too bad, I started to get the hang of it. We went out at, well, I cant remember what time it was, but we walked to the Vic, which was cold, as it was a cold night. Didnt stay there for long as we ran into Kel, and she took us to some party at the Saloon. Felt like such an intruder.

Lukey Luke the rocker rocked up, as he was to be the entertainment in the Saloon for that evening. We chatted to him for a bit, and we had to leave the Saloon, and get back in Via the Capital doors, but we didnt have to wait as we had already been stamped at the Saloon, which was cool.

We hung around the Cap for a while, waiting for the Saloon to re - open, as we wanted to hear Luke's band play. They were good as usual. We rocked out to them most of the night, as they played good and familiar songs to us.

I like going out. Just need to find a girl to go out with. lol, its the only way you can enjoy the Capital. That or a carton of Rum. lol. Nah its not that bad. JUST PLAY SOME NEW SONGS FOR FUCKS SAKE! lol.

Harry Nixon Electrical: Part 3

Since my last post I have seen the client and shown him some of the work I have done. He seemed quite happy with the way things are looking. Got the Draft of my contract signed by the client. Also took some pictures of the client to put on the Business Card, which is stil a working progress as the client suggested some more content for the card, but is happy with the design of the Powerpoint style.

Give me some Skynyrd! / You made out with my friend Part 2: "yep you can read some pretty interesting blogs on there..."

Hi everyone who's reading this.

Alright, for the last I dont know, maybe half an hour I have been fighting in my head as to weather I should post what it is I am going to post about. This idea was brought to my attention by 2 people, first my mate Adam, which most of you will know, and second is the young lady this post is about. I wont give names (incase she doesnt want to be named), but she knows who she is.

You see almost a month ago, (if you ad maybe like 10 days) I went out to a fairwell at Ramano's. I even posted about it. If you cant remeber it go refresh your memory by reading the post entitled; "Give me some Skynyrd! / You made out with my friend!"

Anyway I recently become one of those people with a myspace, and myspace also has a section for blogs. But seeing as how I use this site for my blogging I simply placed a link in myspace to here. This I forgot about. Until now.

You see the young lady I talked about earlier in the post "Give me some Skynyrd! / You made out with my friend!" well she also has a myspace. I came accross her page one day and so decided to leave a comment. However in Myspace you cannot do that without them adding you as a friend. So I opted to become their friend.

Anyway, like I said, I had posted about this blog in my myspace blog. So who reads the blog about that night at Ramano's?...... The girl I posted about of corse! lol.

Everyone had a good laugh. (me too, I mean it was funny). And so now this is me posting about the girl reading my post about her. I really should watch what im putting on the internet, you never know whos reading. Oh well. lol.

TRANSFORMERS! Robots in Disguise

No doubt from the title you will be able to guess what this particular post is about. And if you cant well.... you an idiot.
So last night on July 4th I went and saw the live action version of Transformers on the BIG screen. Yes the new Micheal Bay adaption of that old cartoon show. And I must say I felt like some kid in some kind of a store. I'll tell you what there is nothing like doing something that rekindles old childhood memories. Fuck the critics. I reckon I know more about film then them half the time. Ok so it was an obviouse Micheal Bay type film, but one I felt did the Transformers name justice.

I sat there in aww as I watched some of my favourite characters come to life. Bringing back memories of my youth as I sat in my room holding that particular character in my hand and Transforming him myself. (im talking of corse about the toys I used to own).
This film is everything you could want for a transformers movie. If the fact that you get shit like awsume action, explosions and the awsume CGI of notable characters such as; Bumblebee, Optomas Prime, Megatron, Starscream and Blackout, (just to name a few). You also get given Megan Fox, who lets face it.... is a fox. lol.

I highly recommend it.

Anyways, im going to Roll out!

Harry Nixon Electrical: Part 2

Ok. So far I have a design for the business card which I dont mind, but am still working on it. Theres just something about it I am unsure of. Begun some sketches and Ideas for the brochure. I got an A4 page out of my book and folded it like a brochure so I could get an idea of how I may want it to look.
In Illustrator have done various designs for a letter head which I intend to show the client. Also done a design for a Tax invoice. The colours I have used so far are mostly Orange, Grey, Black and White. Most of the Type is Century Gothic.

Roaring Rants: Road Rage!

Ok I hope I dont do too many of these, but sometimes dont you just feel the urge to rant, or lets face it, bitch about something?
Anyway my roaring rant is something that has kind of been brewing in me since... well a while know. Not long after I got my Ps actually. You see on the drive to Tafe today I found myself yelling at the morons who actually think they are good drivers and should therefore inherit the road. NO! you all suck!

Today it was raining and did this make people want to slow down? No. It didnt. You see this is what annoy's me. Being a P plate driver I constantly hear of how "bad" our driving is. That we speed, and are wreckless. Things like that. And yes, im not saying that there arent P platers out there like that, im sure there are many. But what really pisses me off is the people accusing them and constantly shaking their heads at them are just as bad. Sometimes worse.
You see the Government is bringing in these new laws for P plate drivers as of July 1st I do believe. These dont bother me. I understand why the are going to be there. No the only thing that bothers me is the law of any P plate driver cought speeding will automatically loose their licence.
Now im not saying this bothers me because I speed, because I dont. No what really bothers me is when im a P plate driver who is doing the sped limit and I get full licenced drivers pass me. And why are they passing me? Because they are speeding! Fucken Hypocrites I say! How dare this majority shake thier heads at us when they are just as bad.
I reckon that this new law should be extended to full licenced drivers aswell. If they speed take the licence of them too! No warnings. Why should we just get ours taken off us, when these full licence drivers speed just as much, and do not recieve such a high penalty?

Oh and while im hear, another thing pissed me off the other day. School zone times, so 40kmph right? So thats what I was doing, 40, when this 4 wheel drive decided to sit right up my arse! I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a school kid in the car with them.
When I got to out the front of Kooringal Public school I changed lanes, and the car speed off. Far out! I though. How dumb can you be?! You had a school kid in the car, how can you be so naive? You can tell that this is the type of parent who would be up in arms if their kid ever got hit crossing the road at their school because a car didnt follow the school zone speed limit.

Like I said, Hypocrites.

Give me some Skynyrd! / You made out with my friend!

Ok, Starnge title, I know. And I know your all thinking Lachlans on the drugs, (and for those of you who dont know me... that was a joke. Because I know your sitting there thinking, "oh my, this person was on drugs, then wasnt, but now is back on them and - " NO. your wrong. Remember kids, drugs are bad. Except the ones that make your headaches go away).

Anyway from that small piece of pointlessness comes this blog of Random that are to in someway sum up the events of a Friday evening I had. Last Friday. And oh I know that the formations of type on a computer screen can never really live up to actually living the events, but you will just have to use your imagination.

It all began with a fairwell party to be held in honour of someone I work with because - you guessed it! He is leaving. So this particular function was to be held at Romano's a local Pub and hotel. They, being the people who organised the fairwell, had hired out a private room upstairs. I know "Private Room" sounds a bit odd, but really, what else do you want me to call it?

I decided to go to said Fairwell after people had asked if I was going, and Trent said he would only go if I would. So I decided to go. The night cost me $10 before I even got there! (but its ok, I made it back on the Pokies). Anyway on that day i had agreed to attent the function little did I know how crazy and lolworthy the night was to become.

It started out normal, I met Trent at woolworths, and we then walked to Romano's. This was around 8.30ish and at that time not many had arrived. We went upstairs to the Private Room which consisted of a small dancefloor, some tables and chairs, food on some of those tables, and a small bar which unfortunatly for a female staff member, she was to stay at for the majority of the evening. Oh, and a Karaoke machine, which by the way I might of sung on if they had played Jonny B. Goode.

As the night went on people were getting drunker and the Karaoke machine was working hard with people huddled around it wanting their song to be next. All I wanted was Sweet Home Alabama. "Put on some Skynyrd!" I would shout. But did anyone listen? no.

So about halfway through the night, not expecting to see chicks I might fancy until I would go downstairs to the main bar, Shannon rocks up with some girls from Kooringal woolworths. One of which I kinda fancied. However nothing happened. I'll get to that in a little bit.
So there I was, I had just sat down, as Trent had gone to... Fuck knows where Trent went, lol. He was smashed. So there i was, sitting there, checking this chick out, thinking how I might go over and start talking t them, when she comes to me. Guess what she said? "You made out with my friend!".

WHAT?!

I pretty much said that to her? No I didnt I said. Yea you did, I saw you down the main street. You should talk to her. I tried to keep talking to this girl because, even though she mad no sence, lol, I was interested. She looked pretty and this kinda crazyness she had about her was a welcome change to the evening. So I tried to keep talking to her. And after about 2 hours, I dont think I ever got her real name. Oh and when she draged me over to go and visit her friend, who I had suposidly made out with, my name was to Mark. lol, wtf?

So yea it was kiinda fun to hang around these randoms because quite frankly, I didnt know what was going to happen next. But this girl, it became apparent that she was eyeing of well, I wont give names. So I left them alone to later discover she was infact 21, whilst the guy she fancied is only 17. lol. So when she told me that they had kissed, I asked her friends if she knew how old he really was. When they said no and I informed them that he was only 17, there was much laughter. I dont know what happened to them befre the night was out, because I left before everyone else.

But you know what was cool?! later that night I discovered her friend, was a Tarantino fan. She had the Pulp fiction soundtrack and everything. Plus she knew Rodriguez stuff. So I spent the last 10 minutes of my night out talking about Tarantino and Rodriguez films. It was cool. wish we had of started talking about it earlier.

Sorry this was such a huge post.

To sum up:

Fairwell Party

No sweet home alabama

Drunk Trent

Crazy, but fun Kooringal woolworths randoms

I apparently made out with someone I have never met down the main street as a guy named Mark

Won $10 on Pokies

Talking with random (sorry I cant remember their name) about Tarantino and Rodriguez.

lol, Crazy Fridays.

Scrubs is the new Scrubs!

Alright, if you dont know me then you obviously dont know im a Scrubs fan. But I am. The title of this post is all to do with the release of Scrubs Season 5 on DVD, which I bought a week ago now and have finished already. Except for some of the special features.

And Why is Scrubs the new Scrubs? well you see it was like the be all and end all for me a while back. I watched it regularly and I quoted it and talked about it a fair bit. Anyway after a while other things came along, such as new Family Guy and whatever else appeared on TV or came out on DVD that was quote and talk worthy. So yes, Scrubs had left the scene for a while, but now its back. Like an old friend it returns to me giving me reasons to smile and laugh out loud.

Living with Elliot was certainly different, every inch of her apartment was filled with girly stuff. There were Lavender scented candles, pink robes, bath salts- It... was... awsome!

Whilst I'm talking about TV there's a few things I want to say. Actually I guess its more a beef I have with channel 9 or WIN television. Two and a Half Men, one of my other favourite shows. Where is it?! It came back, double episode on a Tuesday it was to be, and it came, but the week after it was gone again! that was nearly a month ago! Where is it?
Plus Ralph TV never came to Wagga, apparently 9 and WIN are different. Stupid system they have.

Harry Nixon Electrical

Ok, so I should post on my progress on my client project. I will have to go and get my contract signed after a slight change. A logo design was confirmed after a meeting with the client showing them 4 different designs.
Also after discussing and showing some design ideas I have begun work on the business card.

Thoughts and Aimless Ponderings Vol 3: Blast from the Past

Actually, a woman is more like a beer. They look good, they smell good. You'd step over your own mother just to get one! - Homer Simpson

Ok if you have been following along you may notice that I have quotes from various places to begin my rantings and ravings that are indeed some way relevent to the topic I am about to discuss. Girls. Or should I say women? Girl sounds a bit young. Alright, young women I guess.

Anyway this post has been brought upon because of a Girl I used to like. (funny thing is that it was years ago that I liked them. I mean im talking school, back when I was in year 9 which was in 2003). Anyway I saw them the other day (I actually havent spoken to them since year 9, and unfortunatly, I dont know if I will get to speak to her again). I was working and I happend to spot her, and I gotta tell you, after 4 years I still thought she looked good. I mean obviously she had grown up, and sometimes after a while you dont see the person you used to like the same way you did then. But I wanted to go and talk to her, because I thought she looked good.

Problem is that I cant talk to her. Of course being young and well lets face it, stupid (im now older, and stupid), our relationship, which was only a kind of friendship, didnt end well. Mainly because it just ended. She knew I liked her, and she just wanted to remain friends. I look back on it now and am aware that its my fault, I kinda stopped talking to her because I was, like I said young and stupid, and didnt really know how to handle my fellings. So I did the logical thing didnt I? I didnt talk to her.

So here I am now, 4 years later, and I saw her again. Its funny how something so minor can rekindle old feelings. I guess the reason I am writing about all this is I havent really had the best luck with women. For some reason, apparently im a real "cool", "sweet" "funny" and "nice" guy, but I havent found anyone yet who wants to be more than friends.

Back to the matter at hand though. This girl I saw. She has seen me at work before, I know because ive served her, and I often wonder if she recognises me. That if I was to just say her name, would she say mine back? Or would she just look at me strangly, wondering how I know her name? Because she has forgoten me, and i am just a memory that has fallen into a deep dark chasm of her mind and cannot be retrieved?
And if I ever do get the courage to say her name, and she does remember me, would she be willing to talk to me? or go out sometime if I asked?

I dont know, but since I saw her the other day I have been asking myself many questions. Most of which im sure will be unanswered.
I guess the only way I can really find out is to say her name next time I see her.
That might be a hard thing to do, but I guess at least then I'll know.

Thoughts and Aimless Ponderings Vol 2: Blogger and the Internet

I'm fairly sure that if they took all the porn off the Internet, there'd only be 1 website left which would be Bring back the porn .com. -Dr Cox, Scrubs.

As I sit here on the computer, looking at various sites on the Internet I have been begining to ponder a few things. First off as I type this you all obviously know I am typing it into something called a Blog. This got me thinking, what the is a blog? Who came up with the Blog, and why is it called a "Blog"? This lead to a few more questions to which I strongly believe will be unanswered.

First off, I have access to read other peoples blogs from my blog page simply by clicking on the next blog option, but who else but others who already have blogs will do that? And who reads my blog? Does anyone even read it? I am positive there are people who do. (I know this becaus they tell me, but these are people I know from TAFE, and who are linked to my Blog. Infact im surprised they still talk to me sometimes after some of the crap I can type. lol).

So I guess my wonderings are does any randoms, (people I dont know) come along and spend 5 or 10 minutes reading whatever the hell it is I decide to fill this blank text box with. And If they do, why? The internet is a strange thing. What if you type stuff in your blog and no one other then yourself reads it? Is there a point to a Blog? Like I said I usually fill it with mindless crap, but occasionally I talk about my weekend, or a cool website I have found. Are there people interested in reading about the weekend of someone thay have never met?
With this I have also been driven to wonder how people find things on the Internet. Usually on a search engine im sure, but there are millions of websites out there, some of which may have never even been viewed by a random unaware of its existence.
Maybe im just thinking too much about it all. But its what I do sometimes. They are just my aimless thoughts and ponderings.

Studio Graphics

Just a website I found through News Today that displays images of some cool Photoshop work, some of which mixed in with a bit of Illustrator.

Thoughts and aimless ponderings Vol 1: Introduction to my Mind

So I was walking and thinking, and thinking of walking when I ran into a tomato and thought of just how stupid people really are. –The Flight to America, 2005.

If you are here for something worth while reading, something you think will change your life forever, a piece of literature that will most likely win the Academy Award, then you can forget it. You are in the wrong portal if you believe that.

I am not your average girl. I am not even a girl. I am a boy. I’m also not an average boy because… what is average? Everyone is different, so how do you define average in a non mathematical sense? You don’t. Well I hope you don’t. You could go for the stereotype situation if you want, but what is that? Seriously I don’t know. I mean who comes up with the stereotype? I’ve met just as many dumb Brunettes as I have Blondes. I mean – Wait a minute. I’m sorry I tend to do that from time to time. Start talking about one thing, and then go on about something completely different.

As I was saying I’m not your average guy, as I don’t want to think of myself as average in any sense of the word. My name is unimportant. Well, actually that depends on who you are. To some my name may be of some importance, but if you don’t know that it is me writing this, then to you my name is unimportant.

Like most people I was born, not hatched. I lived in one of the many countries that populate this giant ball we call Earth. I am the age of a child who is 19, which makes me….19. I spent most of my days pondering thoughts of, what is for dinner, when does that movie come out and…hmm good cookies.

More thoughts on it all later, but for now I will leave you with this idea, one I have had for many years in the heat of summer. Air Conditioned T-shirts. What do you think?

Tshirt Designs

This is a site I found through Design is Kinky, displaying some different and unique Tshirt designs through their use of imagery, colours and type, most of which appears to be hand kerned.

Hayden Panettiere

Joanna Krupa

Number 5, hmmm I'll really have to think about that. Ill update it a bit later. So for now I guess these are my top 4.

Woho! 4 day Weekend

Well the weekend started for me, like most on a Friday evening. After having to go to work I went home and put Dogma in the DVD player, Dave was kind enough to lend it to me as I hadnt seen it and intended on renting it. It was such a cleaver and Funny movie.

No pleasure, no rapture, no exquisite sin greater... than central air.

I had to get up in the morning on Saturday to what turned out to be a rather busy and eventful day. Maccas for breakfast which was nice, then off to work, 9.30 til 1.30. Walked from work to the main street to do some mothers day shopping, as it was the first chance I had to do it all week. My DVD I had ordered from Sainity, Nick of Time, had also caome in so that was cool.

That night I went out to the Saloon for Dans 21st. Adam, Dave and Wayne were there aswell. We played pool, and they had food going around, it was nice. The DJ played the songs we requested, but no Jungle Boogie. We went into the Cap when the doors from the Saloon opened up. It was fairly busy, but not as busy as it usually is. We went out on the dance floor and danced a bit, were there were some good cookies, lol. I was going to talk to one, but lost them in the crowd.
Poor Dave was deso driver for the night, and he kindly drove me home.

Sunday I awoke at 11.30, its good to sleep in. I turned my phone on and got the strangest msg from Heath, not even he knows what he was trying to say. Then to the video store! As I had most of the weekend off work, and I didnt have any due due assignments I had decided to go and rent some movies. Ones I have been wanting to see for a while.

The reason im in town, is cause of a Kansas City Shuffle

Lucky Number Slevin was the first on my list. Here in Australia it is entitled "The Wrong Man", but I still think Slevin is the best title. The others I rented were;
Mallrats, Donnie Darko, Inside Man, the 40 year old Virgin, Garden State and Children of Men.
So I had bought biscuits and dip, Piged out and watched movies, whilst having some rum. All in all, a good day.
This type of day continued troughout Monday and Tuesday. Only on Monday I spent most of my day on the Net, tlaking to randoms talking to me on Flixter. I now have a friend in Colorado.

So that was my 4 day weekend. Good Fun.

More Rum! My birthday weekend

Rock on! I had an awsume weekend on the weekend, being the 28th and 29th of April.

First of all, if you dont already know, it was my Birthday. I am know officially 19. Im getting old, lol. So yes seeing as how my actual birthday is on the 29th, which was a Sunday, we just went out the day before, which turned into Sunday.

On Saturday I went down the street and bought some stuff. (well, I coned mum into buying some things, lol) Not much just Dip, and Avacado. Oh and Chips, and some other things to make Nachoes. Anyway Newbie came over, (some of you will know his as Trent. And some of you will not know him.)

We pigged out on dip and biscuits whilst watching season 4 of Smallville, and started having a few drinks of Rum at 4.30. Trent got sick of Smallville, so I suggested we watch From Dusk Til Dawn, as he haddent seen it before. Matt then came around and he watched with us whilst drinking his Jim Beam. I got a message from Bec, who told me she would not be able to make it that night, and she accuesd me of being drunk! Just because I said I need to learn how to speak spanish.

The movie finished, (just in time) for us to leave and go to the farrer for dinner. I usually love their Chicken Kiev, but I have to say that night I was disapointed. Not up to its usual standard, lol.

After diner we went to the Vic. Poor Trent couldnt get in because he hasent got any ID yet. They wouldnt accept his birth certificate, lol. Inside we saw Luke. (you know, that guy who teaches us at TAFE). We were talking to him and his mate for a while, and it turned out they were the Band for that evening. It was pretty cool, they opened up with "My Happiness" by Powderfinger. So we rocked out to the tunes Luke was producing for a while then we went to the Capital at about 11.30. I had a get me and 4 friends in for free card, which was convenient because I rocked up with 4 of my mates.
Saw tones of people I knew, and a few people from Tafe were out again.

Chunky Adam and I got a pic taken:

All in all, it was an awsume night! Rum, shouting, laughing, Dancing and some good cookies. lol.

No Buttons!! / "Say what Again!"

Since my last post I have discoverd how to get the effect of the lights fading away, and it looks pretty cool. Here is a snapshot;

But as cool as this is, (the look and the fact I actually figured out how to make it work), I have no buttons!! They are not working, and I cant figure out why. Im sure someone will be able to come along and say "look you idiot, this is what you are doing wrong" But Flash just isnt my strong point. Dont get me wrong I have learnt tones about it this year, but I still suck. lol. I am really dreading the due date on this one, (and all the other ones). I feel like I am going to struggle through this year.

In other news, the weekend was full of emotional Highs and Lows, with tones of stories being told, and some rather Lol worthey events that happened at the Capital/Saloon. Dave and Adam will know what I'm talking about. HAHAHA, Luke. LOL.
It seemed that almost all our class was out that night. (curious to here how the rest of Heaths night went). Lots of laughing, dancing and Rum drinking; which resulted in Adam and I almost shouting the whole night.

"SAY WHAT AGAIN!"

Make your own damn Title!

Welcome to my blog! the program that asks the question; if Wagga wasnt such a shit hole, would I still spend as much time on the Computer?

Well today I have spent a lot of my morning, (well actually all my morning. I woke up had breakfast, got dressed and have been doing Nathans assignment since. It is now 2pm. Might get some lunch.) To tell you the truth, its not going too bad. I was genuinly surprised at myself, I made flash do what I wanted it to do! lol.
I have been working on a few things to make my GUI look cool, and fun to see. This morning I found a tutorial I think I may use. An effect to make it look like old scratchy film.

http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorial/Old-Scratchy-Movie-Effect/2526

Anyway thats about it for now. Still working through a few bugs, (am trying to get the effect that lights fade away) but Ill find a way, I hope, lol. But like I said, Im hungry, and am getting some lunch.

Grindhouse Soundtrack: Planet Terror!

Ok, first of all, Wayne, you rock! If it was not for you, I would not be typing this, and I would have not listened to the "Main titles" of Grindhouse 20 times today. (probably more).
I love this track, it rocks! Rodriguez, you are the main man! Not only do you produce cool films, you make awsume tracks to go with them. I just wish Grindhouse was here already in Australia. But we have to wait! At least this music will keep me entertained. This is a probably a too excited and almost child like Lachlan, and his post for the day.

Ah, I fell like some kind of a kid in some kind of store.

YES!!!

Yes! I have found something that is going to help me with my GUI assignment. The old school projector countdown that I wanted to put into it I found on Flash Kit, (thanx Josh for directing me there). So I dont forget, this is where I have to go, http://www.flashkit.com/movies/Animations/Old_Proj-Adam_Wes-11055/index.php
so yea I am a little excited that something I wanted to do is possible, I just need to make it now, lol.

In other news Rove was back on last night, and it wasnt too bad. Dave Hughes is going to be a regular on the show!! How cool is that?! Ross Noble was on last night aswell. Funny funny man. lol. I got his new DVD the other day. 4 discs! I thought that was pretty cool for 30 bucks. Might be getting Casino Royale today if I can. Best James Bond movie EVER. The 2006 one that is, not that crap 1960s whatever.

I work everyday this week except the easter holiday days, Friday and Saturday. I didnt realise that tafe wasnt on on Friday, only going 2 days this week how crazy is that? Plus Saturday is going to go off! Easter weekend and almost everyone I know is hitting the town. Aaaaawwwwww Yeah! lol.

GUI assignment

Ok, so we have an assignment. one we have had for a while, one I probably should have thought about for a while. (well, I was thinking about it. It was always linguring (thats probably spelt wrong) in my mind) but I never really, seariously thought about it. Until now. So here I am, I have 2 sketches and 1 idea and so I can begin, everything will be fine right? (Argh! im screaming on the inside). How can I do this? Flash isnt exactly my strong point.

Ok heres my idea. Im doing this GUI for what essentually will become my digital porfolio I guess, so I wanted to create something interesting, and something that is somewhat relevent to me. I like movies, so I have this idea that incorperates that into my design. Want to know what it is? Well it is a movie Cinema. As if you are standing in the back of the theatre looking towards the screen. All the seats are links and images, text and video will appear on the Cinema screen once you click them. Pretty cool huh? But now im thinking, how am I going to do that? You know those times when you think up something really cool, go to make it, but it doesnt turn out the way you wanted? yeah, thats what im affraid might happen.
Oh well, I guess all I can do is try. Why do things have to be so complicated sometimes?

$4.90 roll!

ok, this may not seem very exciting to you, but it was to me. (thats just how sad I can be sometimes, lol). Ok I discovered this place in the sturt mall that makes awsume fresh rolls. Anyway, i'd been there twice before, and you can build your own roll, and they have avacado so its cool. Anyway, I went there on the weekend and asked for a roll, like usual, but I got the most awsume roll. I wanted, chicken, ham, avacado, and cheese on a poppy seed roll. The girl who made it made it big. First off the roll was big, then she put like five slices of ham on it. FIVE. then the chicken, and the cheese, and she loaded up the avacado! It was a awsume. And then get this, she undercharged me at $4.90! It was cool. lol

The other day, yesterday it was actually, I was informed of a crazy flash game site, www.gettheglass.com. It had some crazy images and the game wasnt too bad either. I mean, not academy award winnig stuff, but fun. So go see it. (WARNING, have an awsume computer, otherwise it may take a while to load.)

Thursday 15th March: Music and Audio

Today we watched parts from American Beauty and watched the Shawshank Redemption to get a feel for music, how it can be used and what might make good music. I felt I learnt a bit with both films adopting the if its serious make it silent. Meaning if something important, serious or dramatic is happening in the scene there was often no music. I guess this helped build up the tension. But for whatever reason, it seemed to work.

blog

Like the 10th blog! argh. this one better remembers I exist.
