Well saturday started around 11am. I had been out the previous night for Toms 18th and well, some drinking. Matt and Sam had come all the way from Canberra overnight and got in around 4.15, not long after I got home.
Anyway I had decided to have a BBQ lunch, and seeing as how it was nearly lunch and not wanting to spoil my appatite I skipped breakfast. I messaged the guys, Adam, Heath Panaho and Wayne to come round at 1.30. Wayne could not make it, however we were to see him later in the day. It was around 2 when all the snags were cooked and we got to eat, with Adam, Matt and myself sinking back some cold drinks. We spent the afternoon catching up and watching Family Guy and Entourage while enjoying our alcoholic bevriges.
It was aound 5.30is when Adam Matt and I left for the RSL for Camerons 21st. We were to meet up with the other guys later. Dinner at the RSL was pretty good, and what was crazy was Tamika's 19th group was just a table away and it consisted of people I knew from work.
Adam, Kasey and I left the RSL around 8.30 and walked up to the bass bar. A journey that saw me having to listen to and endure the drunken antics of both Adam and Kasey. But they made me laugh. $5 at the Base Bar got us in to see Duck Puppy, a new band with original music and on Bass was our good mate Wayne. The turn out was great. Panaho met us up there.
After Duck Puppys set and a song of the next group Panaho drove us to the Vic carpark where he decided his car would remain for the evening in order to enjoy some drinks with us. We walked to the Capital, got stamped and then headed back to the Vic. Straight to the Bar is where Panaho and I went, ordering 2 tiqilas and a chaser afterwoods. A random girl at the bar decided we didnt have enough salt on our hands, and so took it upon herself to give us more. My palm tasted saltier then the sea I think.
We then went and in the corner near the back bar rocked to the band playing which was none other then the Mighty Yak. We had a bit of a chat with Luke during the break before I headed up to the Capital.
Inside the Cap was almost every person I know it seemed. Tafe mates, work mates, old school mates. It was just a great night.
BBQ lunch, Rum, Rock, good Mates, and Dancing with a pretty girl.
Like the title says, Saturday was a good day.

Saving Six months, Faeturing "Tom Crap and Katie Hollow Head"
Ok ill get the obscure title out of the way first. This is in reference to a conversation Heath , Wayne and I were having before seeing the second Half of the new Batman Movie, "The Dark Knight". It was refering to the fact that Katie Holmes was not reprising her role in The Dark Knight and we all agreed that that was indeed a bad choice, because it rocks. Anyway we started talking about how its probably better she didnt come back and then for some reason started playing around with her name to show how stupid we thought she was for passing it up. In the end we settled on the name "Katie Hollow Head" and her husband, "Tom Crap".
So to more important or perhaps less child like matters. The second half of my title, "Saving Six months" is in reference to the fact that February is about six months away, and it was said thay come February we would go to Queensland. At this point in time im a little worried of that outcome and will have to be doing some serious saving I think. After Car rego and Greenslip as well as a bloody $400 phone bill! And not getting as much work as I would like, this may become a difficult task. Plus end of year is coming up. Birthdays, Christman, and summer which may mean BBQs, Parties and new clothing and stuff. It is possible, I will just have to sacrifice a bit. I want to have around $3000 for the trip, and it is possible, I will just have to watch my bank account and money spendings.
Since my last post we have finished the second half of season 3 to Entourage, however we have not yet watched season 4 due to work hours and other peoples avaliability clashing. But we will get there.
As I first mentioned we finally got to see the dark knight in its awesome glory. Since my rant the bloke who stuffed up got fired and they fixed everything that was wrong about it. Im going to go see it again with Dad on tuesday its that good. Easily the best movie of this year so far. Whilst we were there we got to see the Quantom of Solace trailer which looks pretty awesome itelf, cant wait for that one.
And now for something completely different, lol.
The last two nights I have been dreaming about being with a girl. (No not like that you sick freaks, lol) like as if I was in a relationship. The strange thing is this girl is no one specific. I remember most of it and I dont recognise the girl so im not dreaming of anyone I know. I do know that this girl is really pretty though. Exactly my type. Maybe thats it, my mind just made her up to fit what it is I may look for in a girl. I dont know. Anyway im still looking for a girl. On wednesday night when I was at work this really pretty girl came in. Wouldnt mind seeing her again.
Personally I think all the girls are in hiding for the winter. Or out during the day as Heath says. Perhaps another reason to look foward to summer.
Anyway thats whats on my mind at the moment.
Catch ya's later.

Roaring Rants issue # 2: Forum 6 kills Batman
If you were there for the first screening of the new Batman Movie you would know that it was indeed a dark day for “the Dark Knight”, where the real villain was the Forum 6 Cinemas.
“Heath Ledger would be turning in his grave”, my mate turned to me and said in reference to the absolute joke it was today down at the Forum 6.
Let me explain why even only 20 minutes into the movie my mates and I were planning on asking for our money back.
When the lights went down today at around 11am to probably the most anticipated movie of the year, and the trailers began, there were already problems. The sound quality was off. Way off! It was so noticeable and frustrating it was all I could concentrate on. I went downstairs to inform the staff of the problem in hopes it would be resolved before the movie started. It however was not. And the sound was not fixed until about 20 minutes into the movie. Even after 5minutes into it my mate went and told them about the problem, even after I had already informed them.
This was not all. This was just the beginning. The first 2 minutes of the film were shown to us in the incorrect ratio, as well as beginning a little out of focus. Now you might say that 2 minutes is nothing to complain over, but this isn’t the first time it has happened to a film I’ve been to see at the Forum 6.
Now if you were there this morning on July 16th you will know what I’m leading up to, and for the rest of you I am about to explain why this morning many angry customers walked out of that cinema within the first hour of the film. Have you ever been to the movies when all of a sudden everything has just gone upside down? Have you ever been to the movies when the screen goes black and the lights come on? When the manger walks in and tells an audience that they may have to wait half an hour to see one of the most anticipated movies of the year, which cut out right in the middle of an action scene? Well if you were there this morning, you would have.
That’s right, an hour into the Dark Knight and the film had been cut wrong, showing the audience the film upside down. This went on for about a minute before the screen went black and the cinema lights came on. There were annoyed groans throughout the audience when the manager came in apologizing that there would be a half hour wait before we could see the rest of the movie. Now half an hour isn’t bad, but that Half hour turned into an hour and a half, of waiting, with no exact time period of when the movie would start again. The staff didn’t know what was going on, and it was hard to get onto the manager. It so turns out the movie wouldn’t play again until its 2.30 session time, when there were more people already queuing for that time slot. In the end people were refunded. No one could stay due to the fact they had prior engagements. I myself have to work that afternoon.
So here I am, rather angry at the forum and now having to wait 2 days for a movie I have already seen half of. Not only did I ask for my money back, I demanded a free ticket for when I come back to see the Dark Knight. In Focus! With the Proper Ratio! And Good Sound! The way it is intended. And let me tell you if I have to leave that cinema to tell the staff of any problems during my second screening I will be demanding my money back.
The reason I am writing about all this is because I’m not just some angry customer, no. This isn’t the first time I have been annoyed at the poor service the Forum 6has provided lately. The last two films I went and saw I had to leave the cinema to tell them to turn off the lights because no one had done it. The reason I am telling you all this is because I think there are customers out there who feel the same way. I feel that the Forum 6 cinemas need to pick up their act. They have become a second rate cinema. Unfortunately they are Wagga’s only cinema. They have no competition and are one of the few entertainment complexes in Wagga. Realistically they could charge whatever they wanted; they have the upper hand with no competition and as a paying customer I feel ripped off after days like today.
If you want to own a cinema do it right! People are paying to see these movies which themselves cost millions of dollars. And until the Forum 6 picks up its act they are butchering great movies like the Dark Knight and not giving their customers value for money.

The Entourage evenings, with money on the mind and High Holiday Hopes
Well its been around 3 weeks since my last post and since then heaps of stuff has hapened! But nothing exciting or important in my life. Im just saying in 3 weeks a lot can happen. Ok so maybe I was being a bit of a smart arse there. Stuff has happened, weather or not you find it exciting is all a matter of perspective, and to be honest I dont care what you think im going to tell you about it all anyway.
So last night I was awake till 3 in the morning. "3 in the morning on a Thursday!" I hear you say? Well actually you might know the reason because you were most likely there. The guys came round last night for the second half of season 3 on Entourage. Yes thats right, since I last posted this marathon had only just begun, and it has continued every Thursday. It has become a sort of tradition of ours of late do be hanging out on a Thursday at some point. I worked in the morning from 10 til 1 (not a long shift I know, but I will come back to that.) So I got home around 1.30 and had told the guys they could rock up at 2. Panaho was first on the scene and the day kind of spread out from there. Dave had to leave for footy training, and Wayne had prior dinner engagements. So Adam Heath and I watched episodes of 2 and a Half Men and a the Lano and Woodley goodbye DVD, then had a BBQ style dinner of sausages and steakets as well as potato bake and salad. Very nice. We then went and picked up some suplies from the kooringal mall, watched bits from the Glass House DVD (I miss that show), and waited for Panaho's return.
Dave got back at around 10.30 and then it was Entourage time. Looks like season 4 next week if I am not working on Thursday.
Ok, now speaking of work, it is really shitting me lately. I have no shifts. No one ha any shifts. Major cut backs for the financial year bullshit, so I have very little money of which to save. And I want to save money. I need money. I have greenslip or whatever it is coming up in august, and am planning a trip to QLD with the guys in February, which I will need a fair bit of money for if I want a really good time. Its no good having enough money for accomidation and travel if im going to starve to death and not get to do anything. I know that it will pick up soonish, but at the moment it sucks. At least I got my forklift licence, thats kinda cool.
Oz lotto is $30 millio next Tuesday and I sooooo want to win. It will save me on having money worries. I could pay off my car, hell I could by a new car. 2 new cars! (but I wouldnt, im happy with the Astra). I could have an awesome QLD trip. I could even buy a house, and furnish it, and move out! So many things I could do with that money. I could also buy the Star Wars lego Mellennum Falcon! Im not saying I would, cause $775 is a lot for lego, no matter how big and cool it is, Im just saying I could.
I wish it was summer already. Just thought I would say that.
I love summer. The weather, the cloths, the cookies (you know what I mean), the BBQs, how good Rum tastes after work or a hot day.
I walked into Mark Anthonys today and they are getting their summer range in already! Bring it on I say!

Entourage and BBQ burgers
So the other day I finally got all they guys round for an Entourage marathon. A day of watching in envy as we see characters Vincent Chase score with a large number of unbelievable hotties as well as awesome Houses, Parties, and Cars. As well as laughter from outrages characters like Johny Drama and Ari Gold.
The Day started with BBQ burgers for lunch and with the help of on Mr Adam Robson we managed to create some truely large enjoyable and vary fatteing burgers. Panaho Arived just after lunch and then the Marathon began. Within the first 5 seconds of the show Panaho said "I like this already" as there were shots of four increadibly hot chicks who walked in and out of the frame. We managed to get through season 1 when Panaho unfortunatly had to leave. Adam, Heath, Wayne and I then went to civic video to check out some Blu Rays to see if we would hire any. It was quickly established that none of them really took our fancy. So we walked into woolworths picked up some suplies including more coke and doritos because we were still too full from lunch to eat any real form of dinner.
We decided with nothing else to really watch to start on the second season and finished at around 12.30 with one disc left. I would have liked to wait for Panaho, but im sure he will forgive us. I wouldnt mind another marathon and if Adam and Heath dont mind re-watch season 2 so Panaho can catch up.

Today I felt lazy
For most people the Sunday after the night they go out drinking doing absolutely shit all for the day wouldnt make them feel bad about themselves and the lack of activities done throughout the day, but for me I felt particularly lazy today. I think the reason for this is because I looked at the week ahead and I have bugger all to do. I have 2 shifts for work because its June and they are cutting everyones hours back due to the end of the Financial year. So this makes me feel lazy.
Today I spent most of my afternoon, seeing as how I got up just before 12 watching Scrubs. I took a coupla hours out to listen to music and draw, but I felt so lazy. I need something to do and unfortunatly there is nothing to really do in wagga. I need more work, or a new job I think. Or both. There are a lot of days when I wish I had a Monday to Friday, 9 - 5 job like everyone else and with weekends off. That way I can plan my weekends a lot better and have something to do during the week as well as a nice steady cash income. Hoping I can get some feedback with the whole doing voice over work, because that would be a sweet gig and many people have said I would be good at it.
Most recently it has been brought to my attention that whatever I do with my life I will need a lot of money. I know everyone wants more money, and its not like before this realisation I wasnt down for getting more money its just I have noticed that most of the things I do and buy are rather expensive. This isnt because I get them because they are the most expensive thing like some people might, no it just always turns out that way. I live my life by the "I like what I like" and thats the only way I can explain it. You see it just seems the things I like are aways expensive. And sure your probably reading this saying, thats stupid everyone likes the more expensive thing its just weather or not they can afford it. No I mean the more you could show me a picture of many things and probably 9 times out of 10 I will like the more expensive one. This applies usually for cloathing, technology and food. Food is an entirely different matter though, thats based on taste and I can never figure out why people would pay less for something to save a few bucks if they didnt like it. Id rather spend the extra money and enjoy my meal. And fair enough sometimes we all cant afford the nice things we really like but you understand what I mean.
I think the paragraph above is also partially due to the Entourage addiction I have and a conversation Heath and I had the other night. That and imagining the $58 million I wish I had of won. I know everyone who entered all accross Australia (say it like Dr Cox) really, really, re-healy wanted it also, but c'mon, im 20 years old and that kind of money would set me for life. I know a group of blokes from Melbourne won it between them so good on them.
Another thing thats been on my mind lately is the fact im still single. Now according to people out there its always "strange" that when your taken you kinda miss being single. Yeah, well Ive never known that feeling and after being single for a while I can tell you I dont think I would want to go back to it for a while. I guess this ties in with the whole being lazy title in a sence that whilst some days I am at home doing bugger all and watching TV both my sisters might be with there boyfriends. I guess im just sick of being single. But I aso feel that before I can really get a girl I need to have more money and stuff as well as my own place. Well not nessecerily my own, but not living with my parents. I dont know, maybe im talking shit.

What a bitch!
"What a bitch. arony doony" - Eric Foreman, That 70s show
Why would I title my post with a small line from that 70s show? and one that is well a prophanity that some may not like to hear nore read? Well because that quote makes me laugh knowing the context from which it came and was indeed relevent to a lot of conversations happening the other night. All this and because basically well, I couldnt think of another title.
It has been well over a month since my last post and since then there have been plenty of "a doings a transpiring" (oh yes its the blog for quotes this one). See the Simpsons episode lemon of Troy to find that quote.
Well my life of late has consisted of working and making days to hang with mates, internet and TV. As well as iPod and morning or afternoon walks. For the last two weeks there has been much talk of a trip or possibly guys weekend away with melbourne i think so far leading the way as to a place to go. Closely followed by a bigger holiday to the gold coast to which we will definatly have to do considering Adam and Heath have never been to this date. Missing out guys! I love Queensland.
Tom Raymond has recently cancelled his birthday happenings up in New Castle and has decided he will come down to Wagga instead. Although this means me not having to spend money going up there I was kinda looking foward to it. But not to worry, ill get up there sometime.
Oh yes, the reason the quote "That bitch" or "What a Bitch" was that I went out the other weekend, actually the last 2 weekends I had off so I was lucky and rocked out both weekends. Anyway I was saying "what a bitch" a lot even when it had no reference to anything. Someone might say that someone did something and so I would say; "they did! what a bitch". Dont ask why, I just did.
Oh and one last thing on the news ladder, Matt Price has left to go to Canberra and has nearly been there a week. I guess I just wrote that so when I read this in X amount of time later I will say, "oh yeah".
Also anoth "oh yeah" moment that I will hopefully remember without saying too much. Birthday Double feature on April 26th 08 and a yellow cookie.
Thats all I could be bothered / think of for now.
Peace Out.

Magpies
I was walking the other day and came accross some Magpies at two different stages of my walk. First Magpie was one that was walking around grazing. Grazing? is that the right word? Do Magpies graze? Well he was walking around the grass in search of food I do believe.
Anyway the reason I bring it up is because I wanted to share a thought with you. Now I know the only real basis for this thought is from fictional Television shows and a movie, but still there are experts who work on this type of stuff. The shows in question are infact the documentary "Walking with Dinosaurs" and "Jurassic Park". You see my question and thought is this; do you think that Magpies sometimes walk like a T-Rex? Well I somethimes do.
It kinda freaks me out a bit. I know this is a weired fear but you see I have a fear of Dinosaurs. I know they have been dead for like thousands of years but still. Maybe its just the thought of Dinosaurs that scares me. Either way if they do ever make a real Jurassic Park, you couldn't pay me enough to go visit it.
Second thing about Magpies. Whats their deal? I mean are they the mst visious of birds you will ever meet or what? Have you ever been swooped by a Magpie? Its scary stuff. And they dont just do it to scare you either. They're set on shoot to kill. I have a Magpie swoop me once, and then when he reaised he didn't connect, came round again for a second approach. And they make that noise. Its scary stuff.
But anyway, I was walking back home and there were about 7 Magpies having a go at each other, swoopong at each other in the air and making that noise. And I thought, whats going on here? Have I just wittnesed some sort of Magpie gang war? I dont know but I found it to be strange and scary at the same time, cause I was affraid they would all come to the conclusion that I was a threat of some kind and all gang up on me, which thankfully didnt happen.

Apocalypse Now?
Ok, so this would have been cooler had I written this the day after these thoughts but I was busy and well forgot to jot it down.
Whats the deal with the title? you may ask. Well last Wednesday afternoon there was this crazy dust storm. I have seen cars still covered with the dust that stormed its way through our city. My car however is clean, I washed it on Friday.
Anyway back to the title. I worked that afternoon and had to bring in the trolleys. So there I wandered through the carpark collecting trolleys getting dust occasionally blown in my face, and im pretty sure I also had large amounts of it in my hair. The sky was this crazy stormy weather brown, If you have ever seen such a sky, u know what im talking about.
But the reason the title is the way it is is because of the snapshot image I wish I could have taken. As I walked to the far end of the carpark where there were a number of free parking spaces I began to think this strange thought. So I want to explain it so you can picture it as well. The Sky was the dusty brown, with the trees violently blowing around, and if it had not been for the one car that drove past it would have looked as if the planet was dying, that I was alone, far from civilization if there was any left, and that it was, as they say, the apocalypse.
I know its a crazy thought, but sometimes I think of strange things.
I also remember thinking, man I wish I could film this cause that would be cool.

Why do Peaches and Nectarines have to look the same?
Seariously... why do they?
I work in retail and am a supermarket checkout operator so I see peaches and nectarines quite often lately. Its not hard to tell when you can really see them or hold them, but if they are in a plastic bag then it can be really hard to tell the difference. The only main difference I know is that Peaches are kinda furry, where as Nectarines are not. Its just a thought and something that annoyes me sometimes when I work.
Big week at work this week. Its like Easter so yeah, apparently busiest time of the year. Even busier then Christmas! So I worked all day yesterday 8 til 5 and it was so busy! I reckon I did like 4 hours of trolleys. Add that to the 3 hours I did the day before and I was glad to get home thursday arvo, lay on the couch watching TV and drinking Rum and Coke.
Speaking of Easter its earlier this year, why is that? Theres probably a reason somewhere explained on the internet or something but I couldnt be bothered looking it up. Daylight Savings this year is extended too. Crazy.
Cant wait for the weekend. Dont have to work the back dock which means no early mornings, yay! It does however mean a late night, lol. Cause Im going out and hopefully it will rock. Cant Wait.

My Blog has turned 1
Happy Birthday!
This isnt the exact day, so in that requard its rather slack but I came up with this idea the other day and only just checked the date. My blog is now one years old. Thats right I have been typing shit onto the interwebs via this blogsite for a year now and oh how things have slightly changed. The first few posts were about TAFE stuff as the original intension for this blog but nowadays I just write about whatever fills my head or whatever crap comes out the moments my fingers touch the keys on this keypad thus transforming it into the typogrifill crap you read on your computor monitor.
So Happy Birthday Lachlans World, it shall be interesting to see how old you get.

I own the Astra, but the Bendigo Bank owns my soul
hahahaha, well the bank doesnt really own my soul. I mean imagine a loan like that.
The other day, Tuesday infact, Tuesday the 4th of March, I officialy bought the Holden Astra off my parents. Yep I got a loan from the bank and now its mine.
Its not too bad a deal. Like $120.00 a fourtnight for 5 years, but im paying $100.00 a week, I want to get rid of this loan as soon as I can. This means less intrest and, well, less time I have to worry about it.
Going to put some mad wheels on it eventually, but for now its just cool that I can take the car whenever I want.

Lachlan Jordan in Before the sun rises and the Mysterious phone calls.
"I didn't know there was a 5AM mass at Church before. I didn't even know there was a 5AM. Why didn't anyone tell me?!" - Chris Griffin, Family Guy
Well it actually wasn't 5AM, but even earlier. I woke up this morning before the alarm at around 3.19AM. I thought to myself, man this time 2 weeks ago I was awake, but still from the night before.
This morning was my first back dock shift, which ment the ungodly early morning start of 4.30AM. As I sit here and type this I can tell I am going to sleep well tonight. Im almost falling asleep now. Thats probably a good thing, it means that I will have an early night and be able to sleep because I have to do it again tomorrow.
Getting up at 3.30 and driving to work at around 4 meant that it was still dark. I was working before the sun had even rison. Infact as I worked I could slowly see it becoming lighter as it brought on the day called Saturday. But today was pretty good. Got to do some new things and because you are constantly doing things then time seems to fly. I mean I did 8 hours work and it didnt feel like 8 hours.
The second half of my blog title "the Mysterious phone calls" means, well, just that. In the past week I have been recieving some rather early phone calls. The first was a number I did not recognise, and it began with 923, so I believe it is not Australian, as the Aussie numbers begin with a 61. That number called again today, twice infact and an hour apart from each other, one at 5.47 the other at 6.47. Also I recieved a phone call at 2.30AM the other morning from an unknown number. I also got a call today at 3.42AM which I managed to answer but I think they hung up. It lasted probably only a second, but I think I could hear people in the background. Strange. Perhaps this mystery will be solved soon, or not, I dont know. (I hope I do solve it because its annoying me). Anyway I will keep you posted.

The Mighty Yak / "This aint a scene its a god damn arms race!"
Wow, not long apart from my last weekend adventure blog comes another tale of a saturday night. This particular saturday wasnt a rather evenful one, but I feel I should post about "The Mighty Yak".
Saturday I finished work at 10.00PM, came home, ate, had a shower an went out. The Union was my destination and I was meeting my Saturday adventure partner in crime Adam. The reason the Union was our first venue of choice was because of the musical act there; "The Mighty Yak".
Adam and I did Digital Media at TAFE the last 2 years and one of our teachers was rocker Luke Chisholm, who is the guitarist in this band. The band itself playes covers from familiar songs that Adam and I like. We always liked it whenever Luke played because we knew we would like the music for the rest of the night, and that it would be played well. Back then we never knew the name of the band but now we do; "The Mighty Yak". I should mention the reason Adam and I like this band so much is because they all rock hard, and rock good. They all contribute to making the music sound awesome and are great entertainment when on a night out. Adam has also stated "they are the best band in Wagga. They have a website so check it out;
http://www.themightyyak.com/
We got there, ordered a Rum, bundy of course, and went and talked to Luke in between their sets. At around 11.30 Adam and I ducked over to the Capital to get our stamps, then back to the Union to rock out once more.
We even sung a bit of a song. Halfway through the singer Brad pointed the microphone to us to which we sang the part of that Fallout Boy song; "This aint a scene its a god damn arms race!"
We kinda just shouted it and probably didnt sound very good, but, oh well.

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! / "No one's going to play Bulls on Parade!"
Well it has been almost a month since my last post, slack I know, and this really sux to all my undying "lachlans World" blog fans, (those of which I dont think exist, I dont know if anyone reads this.)
Its 2008! I havent said that yet, and so far not too bad. A lot has happened in a month since I think about it, but nothing overly exciting to post about, no. I said I havent blogged in about a month, but it feels like forever since I have blogged about my weekend out on the town. Yes thats right, another adventure that only can come from a Saturday night of unexpected awesomeness and fun. I think its best to begin at the begining.
Saturday 26th of January, Australia Day. (well just in NSW apparently). 5.45AM. Thats right 5.45Am, thats when my alarm went off. Why would you wake up at 5.45Am on a Saturday you ask? And on Australia Day?! well I had to work. 6.45AM till 3.15PM, which means I missed the Aussie Day races, but not to worry, I had the afternoon to rock out and celebrate the country I was born in.
So after how ever many hours it was at work. 8 and a half actually. I worked it out for you. I wasnt going to, but then decided I would.
I left work to go pick up my mate Adam who was coming around for a few drinks before we went out to dinner. Sam also came round cause she was hanging out with my sister. They also were coming to dinner because well, why not? the more the merrier. Adam and I would have had more people come, but our other mates were either working late or out of town, and one not even in this country! This means you Wayne.
Anyway after 3 rums, and the simpsons movie, and some family guy we were ready to go. Hogs Breath for dinner. $30.00 later (not including drinks) and a full stomach, we were ready to leave Hogs Breath and hit the town, as some people migh say. By the way that $30.00 meal was a steak, and totally worth it. Oh I might mention that on this particular evening I was being rather patriotic. I was wearing an Australia Day T-shirt I had made and had some Australia flag fake tatoos on my wrist.
Frst stop, the Vic, and it was packed, havent seen the Vic so packed in a while, which is a shame reall cause its a good place to go out and have a few drinks. The band at the Vic were, well, a bit shit. They attempted to play "killing in the Name of" by Rage Aainst the Machine, but failed. At the Vic I met up with some of my mates from work, and played a game of pool with Kaseys boyfriend Chris. I also saw Claire there.
We left the Vic at 11.00 and headed up to the Capital with Adam and I in high hopes that Luke would be playing at the Saloon. "Man I hope Chisholms playing!" Also I spent that time saying: "I want someone to play Bulls on Parade, I have had that song stuck in my head all week and that would be so cool." And what was Adams response? "No ones going to play Bulls on Parade!"
Around an hour had passed at the Capital and the Saloon Bar had finally opened its doors. I walked in there to discover non other then Luke setting up his guitar. I ran back into the Capital looking for Adam. "Chisholms playing in the Saloon!" We went back to the Saloon to talk to Luke before he started playing. I know the name of his band now; "The Mighty Yak". They opened with "you really got me". Adam and I like it whenever Luke plays because he is an awesome guitarist and his band plays covers of a lot of songs we love to hear.
More time elapsed and Adam and I did our usuall laps around walking from the Saloon to the Cap and back again. On one occasion we entered the Saloon Bar to hear the Mighty Yak playing "Bulls on Parade"!! We ran to the dance floor and rocked out to that for a while. When the crazy guitar solo came up Adam and I just watched Luke play. It was nuts!
End of the night in the Saloon came and they ended with more Rage against the Machine. The name of the song; "Killing in the Name of". It was awesome. There was like this mini mosh pit happening, everybody shouting at the top of their lungs; "And now you do what they told ya!"
3.00AM, closing time. We left the Capital and walked up the street and sat down a coupla chairs away from JD's kebabs. Adam got a Kebab and was annoyed he could not ring Wayne who was in Paris. (Do you know what they call a Quarter pounder with cheese in Paris? Royal with cheese, lol).
After sitting down for what may have been half an hour talking to randoms about upcoming films and old comic books and cartoons we left to fincos (if thats how you spell it). Heath and Adam dragged me there, (not literally) and we sat out the front talking for around half an hour waiting for the taxis to come along and fill up, as well as the other randoms who came and went.
It was about 4.30 in the morning when I got a taxi home, and around 4.50 when I got to bed. Wow, if I had of stayed awake another hour then I would have been up for 24 hours. Crazy.

Thoughts in type form: the story of my Mind this Morning
Well I shall begin this blog like any other one really I guess. This idea began this morning when I was walking around town in a state I will later describe, but basically I thought to myself I should do a blog as a piece of writing, so here goes I guess.
I had set my alarm for 7:10, but it turned out I didnt really need it, I woke up before its job had even started and so didnt get up to whatever song the radio was blaring at that time of the morning. For some reason I have often found that when I have to wake up in the morning I find it difficult to sleep the night before, but I could not think of a reason why I could not sleep last night. Usually this only happens when I have work the next day. I guess in my subconsious I dont want to over sleep, so I dont sleep well.
The reason I was getting up in the morning was because I wanted to go swimming, and the morning seemed like a good idea. Not too hot, and not too many people.
After probably 10 minutes attempting to do laps in the pool i re-realised something I have always known. Im not a swimmer. So after around half an hour in the water, with sore arms and chlorine filled eyes I decided it was time to get out.
I left the pool to place my swimming apparel in the car whilts I walked to the main street in search of food, and pineapple juice as the swimming had made me quite hungry and the chlorine wather I had consumed left an unwelcome taste in my mouth.
I had my heart set on eating at Subway for breakfast, as I had never been there for breakfast before. Subway however did not open for another 20 minutes, and so I walked off confident that 20 minutes wasnt that long to wait, and I would find something to occupy my time. I did find it odd however that they did not open till 9.00, but who was I to say when they should open.
First on my filling time agenda was to find a shop where I could get my Pineapple juice fix. I found a small shop in the sturt mall foor court, one of very few places that actually sell Pineapple juice around here. This is something else that has also puzzled me. Surely there are plenty more people out there who like Pineapple juice as much as me. Why is it that this particular beverage is often hard to come by?
As I then walked down the main street the suns light seemed to burn my eyes. This I believe had something to do with the fact they were sore from the chlorine, which affected my eyes. There was a brief moment when everything seemed so hayzy, and almost surreal. I tried to think of some fancy metaphore to decribe it, but the only way I can think of it is as if someone just took what I saw and added a diffuse glow. Strange I know. And as I walked along thinking these picular thoughts I was again reminded of my sore eyes. I couldnt see them of course, but I was asuming they where red. And so with my sore eyes and myself off in my own world looking at the "surreal" image i was describing earlier a thought poped into my head. For anyone passing me by, I might look like I was on drugs.
I got out of the light as I walked into the Market Place shopping centre. Everything was shut, except for the coffee club, and a few other food stores in the food court. Big W was open, but they are almost always open. I decided that if I was going to have breakfast in town I might as well pick up something to read. Maybe the newspaper. I walked into the newsagency to discover the Empire was out, so I purchased that. I also got a $2.00 scratchy, however I did not win anything to my disapointment.
I had about 5 minutes left to kill so I sat outside woolworths behind Fantasy doughnuts to flick through my newly purchased magazine. It was then I noticed I had a message from a friend of mine, Adam. I had sent him a text message earlier in reguards to one he had sent me the previous night. He was interested in some of the DVD sales going on in town this week and I believe had two particular movies that he wished to purchase in mind.
With two minutes left till subway opened I walked into Woolworths in search of more Pineapple juice. Woolworths provideds a number of juices as you would imagine for a large supermarket, however I was after cold pineapple juice, and not 3 litres of it.
After this minor disapointment I set of for Subway in hopes that by now it had opened its doors. Ordering a 6 inch role with bacon, egg, cheese and BBQ sause as well as a drink. Not Pineapple juice. I sat out the front with my fresh mad breakfast reading my Empire magazine. It was around 9.30 when I eventually left to track back to the car, my first non - lazy morning in forever. When I got home I discovered that my sister had virtually only just woken up. And so as I type my thoughts of this mornings events on this blog I feel I should state the obviouse... the day can be quite long when you get up in the morning.
I dont know how successful I was at writing a blog as apiece of litriture, but the beauty of this is I really dont have to care. I think I need more mornings like this morning, where I go out and do something. I guess the real irony though is that I havent done terrebly much the rest of today. Oh well.
